It all started with an experimental movement film in the Jungles of Oahu Hawaii. My wife Chelsea had just finished up grad school at Sarah Lawrence before joining me on the island, and we were seeking ways to continue to develop our practices.

At that time I had just developed a newly discovered passion for film and cinematography, and we knew we needed a way to represent the video and film creations we were collaborating on.

Over the years as we continued to make work and explore our practices we decided that perhaps it would make sense to marry our work into an official entity.

Deep Star Films is the combination of experience and passion for both movement and the moving image. Through our projects whether they be to serve artists, partner with other creative studios, or build relationships with commercial clients, our aim is to tell stories while uplifting others along the way.
